A R T I S T
Chai Lee's practice is guided by observation, nature, memory, and lived experience. Working primarily through installation and material-based processes, she explores the complexities of the human condition through tactile forms and visual storytelling. Drawing on themes of family, womanhood, inheritance, and intergenerational memory, she transforms personal narratives into shared spaces for reflection. Through textile, ceramic, wire and found materials, she examines how histories are carried in objects, gestures, and everyday spaces. Attentive to what is felt yet seldom spoken, she gives presence to subtle emotions and invisible labour, inviting quiet, contemplative encounters that foster empathy, awareness, and deeper human connection.
